On January 29, 2025, the Association of Construction Employers (HUP-UPG) and the Croatian Construction Union (SGH) concluded the eighth amendments to the Collective Agreement for Construction, which defined new basic salaries and other rights of workers in the construction sector.

A particularly important novelty relates to the extended application of the collective agreement to all employers and workers in the construction sector. The decision on extension was published in the Official Gazette no. 35/25, and it is applicable as from 1^st of March 2025.

This means that from March 2025, all employers and workers in the construction industry, regardless of membership in HUP-UPG or SGH, must comply with the new rules of the collective agreement.
