MIKROERAČUN Application Upgrade and Expansion of Fiscalization 2.0 Obligations – E-Invoicing for Non-VAT Businesses and Small Crafts from January 1, 2027
On Monday, October 19, 2026, the Tax Administration released an updated version of the free MIKROERAČUN application.
This upgrade brings key functionalities that will significantly simplify operations and preparation for upcoming legal changes for small entrepreneurs and craftsmen.
Starting January 1, 2027, as part of the Fiscalization 2.0 project, the obligation to issue e-invoices is being extended to all business entities in Croatia that are not in the VAT system, operating with other business entities (B2B) or public authorities (B2G).
Since VAT-registered entities assumed this obligation back in 2026, from 2027 e-invoicing becomes a mandatory standard for absolutely all domestic legal entities and natural persons conducting business activities
What does the new version of MIKROERAČUN bring?
- Expanded capabilities: The previous function—which allowed free receipt and archiving of incoming e-invoices for non-VAT entities — has now been upgraded. It is now also possible to create and send e-invoices through the same application!
- Availability via mPorezna: All of the aforementioned functionalities will also be available through the mPorezna mobile app.
Preparation for Fiscalization 2.0 (Effective Jan 1, 2027)
This upgrade is part of a broader project and adaptation for Fiscalization 2.0, which comes into effect on January 1, 2027. Using the upgraded MIKROERAČUN application ensures a simple and free transition to the mandatory e-invoicing system in B2B and B2G business, without the need to contract additional commercial software for micro-entities.
